First time alliance of Catholic pastors and victims of childhood sexual violence by clergy make historic public appeal. Joint message to appear in a full page advertisement in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Tuesday December 27th.

For the first time in the Catholic clergy sexual abuse crisis, a group of priests, and sexual assault survivors will jointly publish a statement calling on victim/survivors to come forward and urge public accountability and transparency from church officials.

We are SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. We are the largest, oldest and most active support group for women and men wounded by religious authority figures (priests, ministers, bishops, deacons, nuns and others). We are an independent and confidential organization, with no connections with the church or church officials. We are also a non-profit, certified 501 (c) (3) organization.
